After that, take a ride on the wilde side when Autorama, America's premier custom car show, rolls into The D. Or join us in May for the annual National Transportation Week festivities, which celebrates all modes of transportation.
In summer car cruises take over The D with Cruisin' Gratiot, Cruisin' Downriver and the granddaddy of them all -- the Woodward Dream Cruise. Held each August, the Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one-day automotive event, drawing around 1.5 million people and 40,000 cars of all kinds for a day of cruisin' along America's first highway.
