Family Reunion Planner

 


Let the DMCVB help you assemble your family reunion in metro Detroit. The Bureau’s Tour and Travel Department can assist you with the following time-consuming details with a “one-stop-shop” approach to your event and best of all - the service is FREE. Please note - your family reunion MUST be registered with the DMCVB one month prior to your reunion date to receive our services.

If you would like our assistance in planning your reunion simply complete the Family Reunion Planning Form and Family Reunion Request Forms below and fax them into the DMCVB.

The Bureau can:

Secure bids for hotel accommodations
Suggest banquet facilities
Help secure picnic site reservations
Help arrange city tours and transportation
Help secure special discounts at area attractions, restaurants and shopping venues
Provide Visit Detroit magazines, welcome bags and other print materials
Direct you to helpful contacts for:

Provide a free Family Reunion Program Resource Book

The Tour & Travel Department offers free seminars to help make your reunion a success. The next workshop/tradeshow will be held:

October 15, 2005 - Cobo Center's Riverfront Ballroom

9:00am - Registration with continental breakfast
10:00am - Seminars begin
12:00pm - 2:00pm - Tradeshow exhibits sponsored by area hotels and attractions

Please call (313) 202-1985 to register. Limit of two representatives per family, please.

Topics to be discussed – tracing your family history, using database systems to assist with family genealogy, using the parks system for family events and the do’s and don’ts of planning your reunion. In addition, local hotels, attractions and more will be on hand to help support your reunion.
