This is the cities greatest asset, located a mile north of downtown on the river with Windsor on one side and Detroit's cityscape on the other. Belle Isle is rich in history and a place the race director visited with his family many times growing up. Several venues around the country are spectacular venues, several are beautiful venues, several are great downtown venues but few are perfect triathlon venues. This is one of the few and among one of the countries fastest courses. Just look at the times to prove it. If you want a PR, this is the place. This is why the Motor City event has been chosen as Michigan’s "Best of the U.S." event. Top 3 male and female athletes will represent the state of Michigan in the "Best of the US" Championship. Bring the kids Saturday for Superkidstry, catch a baseball game, get some great food, grab a great room at one of the first class hotels and stay the night for the adult race on Sunday.
