Participants will learn more about local food banks/kitchen/pantries, current statistics and issues regarding regional hunger, connecting the community to fresh food as a strategy to reduce health problems, urban farming, food justice issues, the use of bridge cards, food availability, and the buy local movement. Feet On the Street Tours and Events focuses on cultural tourism and social issues to strengthen relationships, the economy, and the image of Detroit. Our goal is to connect and reconnect the people, both visitors and locals, to the city of Detroit.
