Senior citizens residing in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties are invited to enjoy a special day at the Detroit Zoo on Senior Day, Wednesday, April 24, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Seniors 62 and older and a caregiver receive free admission and parking. Senior Day features live music, tractor train tours, bingo, zookeeper talks and a senior resource area.

- Open daily 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 1-March 31; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April-Oct. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
